Mark didn't have a Wage Levy, but he owed over $9,600 on 2006 and 2007.

However, IRS had traced his bank account and they levied it and were going to get $1,550. I told Mark to kiss that money goodbye since IRS policy is that they will not release bank levies except under rare circumstances. He said he was willing to let them have it.

He called me before his wages were levied, so we had the good fortune of not being in a rush. Still, though, I do well when the pressure is on.

I had to prepare his 2008 tax return and it increased his total amount due to about $14,800.

My IRS rep agreed to a $233 Monthly Installment Agreement. Mark was okay with it, too.

Deal done.
