The Truth of the Matter is quite simple. An IRS Wage Levy is
used by IRS to get your attention when their other attempts at contact and
communication and collection have probably failed. And they certainly get your
attention.
My policy is fairly simple ... Even if I know you will not become a paying
client, I'll give you as much time on the phone as you need. I'll answer all
your questions and even give you some good information. Just please try to keep
it under an hour.
But be prepared... I'll ask you a lot of questions (the same
questions I ask everyone else) that will help me determine the facts that I need
to know about your precise situation.
99% of the time IRS will not be as
interested in what happened (The Past) as they are with your current situation
and your current monthly income and expenses (The Present) and how the problem
will be resolved (The Future). And there is more than one way your problem can
be resolved. In fact, there are quite a few.
Therefore, the old detailed stories about what took place years ago are almost
immaterial. You can tell me a little bit about The Past. But I prefer that you
stick to the Present. And together, we can deal with The Future.
We'll talk details and timing and numbers and dollars. I'll tell you what I
think and what I can do and how long it will take. I'll tell you what I expect
of you and what info you must provide me. Oh.....and I'll also tell you how much
it will cost. I post my fees so you can see them and
get over the sticker shock. Shop around and see how many of my competitors post
their fees in detail like I do.

I'm from Texxizz and I have a Texas drawl. Don't let it fool you, though. I know
this IRS Wage Levy business backwards and forwards. It's what I do and I'm good
at it.
Take away all the hype and the advertising on this site, and you will still find
what I think is the most informative Internet website regarding IRS Wage Levy
information.
IRS has some very specific requirements that must be met before they
will issue a Wage Levy Release (WLR). Unless and until these requirements are
met, no WLR will be issued. You can find a complete Checklist of all of those
items in my
Downloadable IRS Levy Package.
Factors that determine the different items of information that must be provided
and how quickly I can get your WLR include:
-
Unfiled tax returns
-
Amount of tax owed
-
Age of tax owed
-
Current monthly income
-
Current monthly expenses
-
Bank accounts
-
Pay stubs
-
Verification (copies) of many expenses
-
Your own commitment to provide this info ASAP

I'm not the only person who can get your WLR. I have no special powers. I do,
however, have tremendous knowledge about this subject. And knowledge is my (and
your) best asset and weapon. I use my knowledge of the WLR issue to your
best advantage in a manner similar to the way all IRS employees are trained to
use their knowledge of the WLR issue to their best advantage and not yours.
That's right. Surprise, surprise.
IRS uses their WLR rules and regulations to their best advantage. I
don't blame them for doing it this way and neither should you. Therefore, lack of knowledge
in this area puts you or anyone else at a distinct disadvantage. IRS knows that
most of the taxpayers who call them lack this knowledge and IRS will often use
this fact to further their advantage over people who call them. That's one of
the reasons I encourage you to educate yourself on this subject. That's also a
reason I prefer to be part of your education process in addition to serving as a
provider of a valuable professional service. I want you to know what's going on
and why it's going on. And I want you to get the best possible
outcome, too.
You can get your WLR on your own or you can find another professional to help
you. I would encourage you, however, not to use your standard CPA down the
street who is probably much better at dealing with complex income tax issues
than I am but who has little or no experience in the IRS Wage Levy Release area.
In fact, I encourage you to visit other sites and educate yourself on this
subject. I'm not high pressure and I won't tell you every two minutes that you
should send me some money RIGHT NOW or that I am the only one who can help you.
Many callers tell me they got this treatment from JKH and Roni D who advertise
heavily on cable television.
I am in a very niche business. Actually quite small. Tiny, in fact. To
begin with, very few people in this country ever experience IRS Wage Levies.
This fact limits the potential clients or customers who might do business with
me. Another limitation that separates me in the marketplace is that I prefer to
concentrate my work on IRS Wage Levy issues and not Offers in Compromise (OIC).
WLRs are faster (typically measured in days) whereas OICs take six to twelve
months. Or longer.
Partly because of this limited customer base, I really don't have a
tremendous amount of competition in this line of work. But I still have
competition. Most of my competitors are very good and very ethical. But I
personally would not recommend a few of them. Let me just say that they
advertise nationally on TV . Their sales staff are pushy and promise the moon
(i.e. "pennies on the dollar"). They also push to get your money. I have
received calls from no satisfied customers from either of these advertisers. I
also understand that their satisfied customers probably have no reason to call
me, though. But the stories are always the same. "I sent them my money and I got
absolutely nothing in return except requests for more money." So please be
careful. Call me if you want more details.

While it is quite possible to get one of those "Pennies on the Dollar" Offer
in Compromise settlements with IRS, such a negotiated agreement will take a lot
of preparation and a long time . And time is probably what you don't have. You
probably need to have your wage levy released immediately. So I recommend you
work first on the WLR and then , if possible, work on the OIC.
The main reason I say this is because if you submit an OIC while you have a
wage levy in effect, then IRS will continue to take the wage levy while they are
considering your Offer. So, you should now know that if your OIC takes six
months to a year from start to finish, then your levy will go on and on and on
for that six months to a year. Ant that levy is what you need released right
now.
That's some pretty good info about why you should get your Wage Levy Release
before you submit your Offer in Compromise.
